As dawn broke over the eastern mountains I looked out from where I was sleeping and saw this tiny yellow flower growing on the alluvial fan here in Death Valley and remembered it was Easter morning in my Christian tradition. Easter means many things to folks in all the forms of christianity around the world. Easter means many things to folk who don't claim Christianity as their spiritual tradition, and nothing to others. This tiny yellow flower on the vast alluvial fan spoke deeply to me of Easter. I am curious, whatever your spiritual tradition or practice (or no tradition or practice) what does this image evoke/invoke for you? Blessings to my Christian family celebrating Easter, blessings to all others simply moved by a tiny yellow flower in the desert.
